Mike Nuttall - Owner
From the start, Mike impressed me with how clearly he explained things. He took the time to get what my business was all about, who I wanted to reach, and what my website actually needed to do. And throughout the whole process, he kept me in the loop and up to date with how it was coming along.
In the dynamic world of e-commerce, MUST Wine faced the challenge of establishing an online presence amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Their aim was not just to create a website but to craft a platform that would expand their customer base and enhance user experience.
Objective
The primary goal was to develop a dynamic and visually appealing website that would showcase MUST Wine's exquisite collection of wines while providing a seamless user experience for visitors.
Approach
WordPress, renowned for its user-friendly interface and robust features, was chosen as the foundation for the website development. Leveraging the flexibility of WordPress, our team aimed to build a sophisticated online hub that aligned with MUST Wine's branding and business objectives.
As lockdowns disrupted traditional retail channels, MUST Wine recognized the need to adapt to the changing landscape. The next phase of the project involved transitioning the website into an e-commerce platform to facilitate online sales.
Objective
To implement WooCommerce, a powerful e-commerce plugin for WordPress, and transform the MUST Wine website into an online shop. This strategic move aimed to connect with customers beyond physical locations, opening new avenues for growth.
Execution
Integrating WooCommerce seamlessly into the existing WordPress framework, our team ensured a smooth transition to e-commerce functionality. This involved customizing the online shop to reflect MUST Wine's brand identity and optimizing the user experience for purchasing wine products online.
The successful implementation of WordPress and WooCommerce paved the way for MUST Wine to thrive in a challenging business environment. This section explores the outcomes of the project and outlines the future trajectory for the brand.
Results
By the end of 2020, MUST Wine experienced a remarkable turnaround, achieving a turnover of over £60k from zero online sales at the start of the year. The transition to e-commerce not only sustained the business during challenging times but also positioned it for future growth.
Expansion
Building on this success, MUST Wine launched the MUST Wine Club in 2022, a standalone wine subscription service. This innovative offering not only fosters customer loyalty but also provides a recurring revenue stream, further enhancing the brand's sustainability.
