project brief:

Dawson Walkers' previous website was built in Django which wasn't as friendly for their staff as they wanted it to be, so they asked me to rebuild their site using WordPress and enable a manageable interface on the backend for their staff to be able to create new pages, layouts and templates whenever they needed to to give them full flexibility on any design they wanted to implement.

project planning:

In the first instance I needed to take their current sitemap and work out which page templates would be needed moving forward to allow the staff to input the relevant content in pre-agreed places using WordPress as the framework along with Beaver Builder, Advanced Custom Fields Pro and custom HTML, CSS and PHP.

project conclusion:

The final outcome was a site that stuck to the original site design but the backend is much more manageable for the staff to maintain and update and also gives the user an easy to navigate experience when finding the content they came to the site for.
